While searching for a switchable USB HUB at Office Depot I came across this keyboard which is usually $79.99 for $29.99. I purchased one of these a few years ago and then my wife (yes her again) spilled a soda on it and killed it. I went shopping for another wireless setup and came across a Microsoft set which looked pretty good, but when I got home and set it up I had nothing but problems with it disconnecting my keyboard and mouse.

I went online and discovered that the problem can be caused by interference from Monitors with refresh rates higher than 65 Hz. My current monitor at the time was a 22" pro series Viewsonic which could handle refresh rates up to 100 Hz or higher. I had mine set to 85 Hz so to test I lowered my refresh rate to 65 Hz and sure enough the problem went away. Not willing to stare at 65 Hz with a 22" monitor I took it back and swapped for another Logitech Wave which I've used unto this day. Unfortunately it was getting worn out. Some of the keys had started to stick when I typed and the little slider pads under the mouse had long since worn away so $29.99 on the spot price for an exact replacement seemed like a good deal.
